Celebration, romance and charm
Join us in Paris as we wish "Bonne Annee" to the glorious 'City of Light'. Every year the Champs Elysees is transformed, the champagne flows and a magnificently illuminated Eiffel Tower acts as backdrop for a street-party of epic proportions.
Single rooms are available for a supplement
By day, Paris, with its famous landmarks, fascinating museums, pavement cafes from which you can watch the world go by, stylish stores and specialty shops, is a wonderful place to wander. By night, another city comes alive - a city of bars, jazz clubs, meeting places like the Deux Magots and Cafe de Flore, great restaurants, celebrated cabarets and spectacularly illuminated buildings.
Leaving the local area in the early morning we head to France by ferry or through the Channel Tunnel, arriving at our hotel in the evening.
This morning we transfer into the city centre. Once there, you're free to explore or join our optional tour to see the sights - the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs Elysees and the gleaming dome of Sacre Coeur.
In the evening, you'll be treated to an unforgettable New Year's Eve party. After a fine five-course dinner, you'll dance the night away, stopping only to lift a glass of bubbly to toast the turning of the year at midnight.
After the party you will be transferred back to your hotel.
This morning you can take an included transfer to the centre of Paris to explore by yourself or join our optional excursion to Montmartre, the artists' quarter. Wander the cobbled streets around the Place du Tertre taking in the sights, such as the pearl-white dome of nearby Sacre Coeur.
In the evening there's another opportunity to transfer into Paris or join an optional excursion - this time to see 'Paris by Night'. Wander the fascinating, cafe-lined streets of the Latin Quarter, the perfect place to enjoy a meal (payable locally), then board ship for a romantic cruise along the Seine past all the major sights.
This morning we'll reboard the coach and begin our journey home, arriving in the local area by late evening after a very enjoyable New Year's break.
